It is a fact that there are many students at class V in Islamic Boarding School who can not use English as a means of communication. One of the reasons is their they can not correct and good read. It is solution by The English songs. For the reason, the writers try to apply a method in teaching English, especially in teaching pronunciation by using The English Song.
The research problems were formulated as followed as follows (1)How is students’ achievement in pronunciation before they are taught using English song as a media?( 2) How is students’ achievement in pronunciation after they are taught using English song as a media?( 3) Is there any significant different of students’ achievement in pronunciation before they are taught using English song as a media and after they are taught using English song as a media?
The purposes of the study are (1)To find the students’ achievement in pronunciation before they are taught using English song as a media?(2)To find the students’ achievement in pronunciation after they are taught using English song as a media?(3)To find is there any significant different of students’ achievement in pronunciation before they are taught using English song as a media and after they are taught using English song as a media?
Method of the research: Experimental research design. It is intended to find out any significant difference on pronunciation before and after they using the English Song in teaching pronunciation of class V in MI Munjungan 1. The method of collecting data is administering test. The technique of data analysis is using T-test.
The formula of T-test as follow:
The finding of the research was that the t count = (34.51 ). Whereas, t table significance at 5% = (2.09). It is significant difference. It is known from the t count is bigger that t table = 34.51 > 2.09 this means that there was significant difference T-test and t table. Difference between the students’s pronunciation score before and after were taught by using the English Song. In other word, the use of this technique is effectiveness to improve the students in teaching pronunciation for class V MI Munjungan 1.
