Vocabulary is considered one of the foundations for the students as young learners of English as a foreign language. To be able to learn English well, a learner should master English skills and components. Vocabulary is also taken into account as underlying basic for learning English skills and other English component, namely pronunciation and grammar. Therefore, teaching vocabulary effectively needed to be considered, and one of the ways in teaching vocabulary is making use of the media such as card rotation game. Accordingly, the researcher uses card rotation as media to teach vocabulary which is intended to improve the student’s vocabulary achievement.
The formulations of the research are: 1) how is student’s vocabulary achievement before being taught using card rotation game? 2) How is student’s vocabulary achievement after being taught using card rotation game? 3) Is there any significant different score before and after being taught using card rotation game?
The purpose of this study are: 1) To know the student’s vocabulary achievement before being taught using card rotation game 2) To know the student’s vocabulary achievement after being taught using card rotation game 3) To know there is significant different score before and after being taught using card rotation game
The research design of this study is pre-experimental design with
One-Group Pretest-Posttest with quantitative approach, 1) the population of this study was the fourth grade student’s in SDN II Karanganyar Gandusari Trenggalek. 2) The sample is used purposive sampling, because this technique to determine quality of sample and to perfect in using technique sample. The fourth grade consist 22 students. 3) The data analysis is done by Paired sample T Test stated by SPSS 16.0.
