Pengembangan epistemologi Twin Tower di IAIN Sunan Ampel antara asumsi dan resiko

ABSTRACT : This paper is intended to picture out assumption and risk which will happen in the development of epistemology of twin tower at IAIN Sunan Ampel in its effort to welcome its substitution into UIN. The result of the paper shows that the development of epistemology of the twin tower with the purpose to place religion knowledge and general knowledge in integrated, in which the grand design is in the process of being discussed by the leader and staff leaders of IAIN Sunan Ampel, just represent an assumption and it offers potential risk. The assumption is to make both religion knowledge and general knowledge to be integrative-inter connective. Meanwhile, the risk is both of the knowledge will offer dichotomy with the twin tower as yhe symbol. Although it offers potential risk, the effort to integrate both religion knowledge and general knowledge through the twin tower to welcome the institution's subtitution into UIN Sunan Ampel should be taken into an action. On the other hand, the assumption of its integrative knowledge should be guarded by applying a supported set of system to convince its realization. If this way is not done effectively done, it may offer contrast situation in which there is no integrative-inter connective of knowledge will come to the surface symbolized by the twin tower. The twin tower, practically, will indicate the separation of the two kinds of knowledge, in which the religion knowledge is placed (symbolized) in one tower and the general knowledge will be symbolized by another one. One of the examples of the guarding systemthat can be applied is in the process of recruitment of both lectures and administration staffs. The two kinds of employees can be recruited by considering their mastery on the religion knowledge and general knowledge and their specific field theychoose. Moreover, the materials to be tested must be integrated in which they cover the three kinds of the knowledge mastery.
