The teaching and learning process has five important components. There are purpose, material, method, media, and evaluation. The component determine whether the teaching will be successful or not and also to make this process run well, effectively and efficiently.
Although the components are important in teaching learning process, but not all the teachers know them in teaching learning activity. Because, the teacher doesn’t has deep knowledge about it. The research is to describe the English teaching and learning process briefly. Hopefully it can help the teacher and students to improve in their English ability.
Focus of Research (1) what are the purposes of English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon. (2) what materials are used in the English teaching learning atthe International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon. (3) what are the methods of English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon. (4) what media are used in the English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon. (5) what are the evaluation techniques used in English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon.
Purpose of the study (1) to describe the purposes of English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon. (2) to describe materials are used in the English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon. (3) to describe the methods of English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon. (4) to describe media are used in the English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon. (5) to desribe the evaluation techniques used in English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon.
This research is descriptive qualitative design. This research is intended to observe the English teaching learning process for the first and second grades students at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon, Sumbergempol, Tulungagung. The method of collecting data is interview, observation, documentation, and the data were analyzed by using inductive method.
Research finding: (1) the purposes of English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon are to develop the student’s English language, produce the student’s ability in English language skills, the students can speak English be an international level and can followed in the world arena, science and literature. (2) The materials used in the English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon are adopted from Specific Cambridge (CIC), a book from Cambridge UM (English, Mathematics and SAIN), Pkn, social SAIN, book two languages Indo-English, LKS, textbooks, and additional Religion. (3) The methods of English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon are direct-speak, GTM, discussions, and TPR. (4) The media used in the English teaching learning at the International Class of SDI Bayanul Azhar are blackboard, pictures and yard school. (5) The evaluation techniques used in English teaching learning at the International Class of Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon are the value of daily tests (written tests and target), the end of each chapter, the end of the semester, and also the Cambridge exams are conducted every three years once the grade 3 and 6, and per-semester from UM held in January and October.
